Guest Checkout Tokenization (Alt-ID)
As per RBI guidelines, Effective November 1, 2023, all guest checkout transactions will be processed in a fashion similar to COF Tokenization. Juspay will use the card number to fetch a Token Number and one time use cryptogram to process the transactions. To differentiate this flow with COFT transactions, Guest Checkout Tokens will be referred as Alt-ID (Alternate Identifier)
Changes Required
Juspay will observe the necessary changes and processes the transaction using Alt-ID with downstream PA/PGs. No change is required in terms of integrations. The user experience will continue to remain the same for card holders, and this process will only make the transaction more secure than before
If you are already onboarded for COFT tokenization, Juspay will use the same credentials/configuration to process Alt-ID transactions. In case the COFT tokenization is not enabled, an one time onboarding will be required. Please reach out to your KAM or [email protected]
